Massage therapy can often be safely adapted for a wide range of individuals, conditions, and concerns. It may help manage muscle tension, joint stiffness, postural dysfunction, sports-related injuries, TMJ-/headache-related symptoms, and nervous system overload related to stress.
Before treatment, we’ll review your health history and discuss any medical conditions, medications, or precautions to ensure care is appropriate and tailored to you.
While massage therapy does not diagnose or cure medical conditions, it can play an important role in symptom management, recovery, movement efficiency, and overall physical well-being as part of a collaborative healthcare approach.

Your treatments includes a health history review (especially during your first time), a brief assessment, hands-on treatment, and education tailored to your needs. You may be provided movement or exercise recommendations to support your recovery between sessions. We will go over your goals, and create a treatment plan that works well for you and your needs.
After your treatment, It’s normal to experience mild soreness, fatigue, or increased body awareness following treatment. Staying hydrated, moving gently, and following any recommended exercises can help support your recovery.

Treatment should never feel aggressive or unsafe. While some techniques may feel intense at times, your comfort, consent and feedback guide every session, and techniques can be adjusted and/or stopped at any time.
I encourage open communication throughout treatment so pressure and techniques can be adjusted as needed.
-
Your comfort and safety always come first. You may undress to your level of comfort for treatment, or choose to remain clothed if you prefer—massage therapy can still be provided effectively based on your choice and level of comfort.
Registered Massage Therapists are trained in proper draping procedures to ensure your privacy is respected at all times. You will be covered with a sheet and blanket throughout the session, and only the area being treated will be uncovered. When movement-based assessment or treatment is included, comfortable or athletic clothing is recommended when possible.
